I love this quote from Madeleine L'Engle. Children and teens are such a special audience. It is an honor to write for people who are still exploring, growing, and learning every. single. day.

I think some writers have a tendency to "write down" to children and teens when in reality they are hungry for more. Books like Number the Stars by Lois Lowry and The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins challenge the status quo.
